A Day in the Garden

From chopping wood to raking up the leaves there is always something to do in the convent garden, and once again we are very grateful to our friends who came to spend a weekend gardening with us.

God is very good to us, and he sent us 4 strong men to help cut up some of the immense pile of wood that the army helped to stack last year. A satisfying day’s work that cleared the ground for the new chicken run, and re-stocked our supply of wood for our log burners.

Thankfully there were lighter duties as well, hedges to be cut and leaves to be raked, everyone had a great day in the garden, our youngest gardener even said it was the best day of her life after Christmas and her birthday of course !!

After plenty of pizza and cake, the day ended with adoration and the rosary in thanksgiving for the gifts of friendship and faith.
